NRC CAL – NOV (White)

On January 27, 2025, the NRC issued a notice of violation to Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC (licensee) associated with a white significance determination process finding at Susquehanna Steam Electrical Station, Units 1 and 2. The white finding, an issue of low-to-moderate safety significance, involved the licensee’s failure to promptly identify and correct a condition adverse to quality for the 'B' emergency diesel generator (EDG), which resulted in the inoperability of the EDG. This failure to correct a condition adverse to quality was contrary to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations , Part 50, Appendix B, Criterion XVI, "Corrective Action" and licensee Technical Specifications.
